Baby Powder

Baby Powder is talc free powder that contains many ingredients altogether. The ingredients are kaolin clay, herbs, arrow root powder, orange and lavender oil. It is of best use for baths and changing the diapers. You can even use it as a foot powder.

In the early times, people used to use talcum powder or cornstarch to care for the baby's skin. It absorbs the extra moisture. Although, the doctors do not recommend these products as the baby could inhale talcum powder and cornstarch can be very irritating for the lungs of the baby. More over, the caked powder in the diaper creases can increase the growth of bacteria.

Baby powder can have a good smell but it is dangerous. It can get in the lungs of your baby that can cause swelling and may irritate them. It can lead to many breathing problems. In some children, it may even cause an inflammatory reaction as it gets exposed to the broken skin. A better alternative all over to reduce the rubbing is cornstarch. It can even be coarse and safe in comparison to the talcum powder.
